I have just found my first Subie, a 01 Outback Limited Wagon with only 51,500 miles. It was the ultimate old lady car, she was 84, and wasn't driving a Buick Century. I found the car on Craiglist and questioned the mileage only to find it was being sold by the son in law of an 84 yr old lady near Hickory NC. With new tires and a new battery it was a steal at $5600. She even had the original window stick for over $28,000. The car has the mileage of a 3 or 4 yr old.
I brought it home and blacked out the back with 5% limo film and 20% on the doors with Dynamat Extreme behind the door panels. Fresh Penzoil Ultra, a 10K mile Fram filter and new NKG Iridium plugs. Last night I installed Cquence Cross-drilled F/R with new Ceramic pads and fresh DOT 4 brake fluid. Now I am considering a cold air intake to clean up things under the hood and gain some power with a better sounding engine. Any thoughts??? What would you do next?? Thanks.
