Does anyone know which section of the leather seats is natural leather and which section is synthetic leather? (2010 Legacy GT Premium)
Your help is much appreciated!

No real leather in our cars.
Don't try using any leather treatments or protectors... It won't absorb and will just sit on the surface..

Yeah its a Subaru...its all "pleather".
Adam's leather & interior cleaner and their leather conditioner are pretty good. They are formulated for use on synthetic stuff also.

The Subaru site says "leather trimmed". I would think that at least the centers or faces are leather. It will be interesting to hear.
I try to stay away from leather car interiors because it's usually thinly shaved leather skins that are built up with plastic fillers and embossed with a vinyl overlay that makes them hot, tend to peel or crack. The elastic "memory" of average car "leather" isn't as good as a quality cloth. VW sells the heck out of their Vtex vinyl and Mercedes/BMW have their mwhatever and pleather.

From what I can feel, the true leather is just in the center of the seat and center of the back rest... everything else is pleather... side bolsters, headrest etc....
In our Volvo, every surface is true leather, but that car cost more then $10k over the Legacy.

I was going to guess the perforated parts and maybe the armrests?

It's mostly Pleather.
But apparently, doesn't wear out as easily and is also easier to clean! (Just talked to my local paint/interior protection pro's.)

Thanks for the reply everyone.
Just got a call from Subaru. The perforated section of the seat are leather (Natural leather) but anything else (sides, head rest etc) are not.
They can't confirm what the material is, so she said just to follow the instructions given in the owner's manual (leather for natural leather), and synthetic leather instructions for other parts.
She doesn't recommending using aftermerket products and advises to stick to the instructions in the manual.
Just out of interest. I also ask her about the Subaru UK Autoglym products, and she said if it's got Subaru on it then she assumes it will be safe to use but it would be best to contact the service department.
Has anyone use the Subaru Autoglym products or Autoglym products on your car?

Wow! I have an office chair which is "leather trimmed" and it turns out that it is the rolled welt between the plastic parts that is leather! ...also an owner of a limited GT which really, I have never so far found the leather! Still love the car however.

I've been through leather tanning and finishing factories and can tell you they shave leather hides so thin and then build it back up that it's funny. Some leather skins are so thin before being built up, they are like a wet tshirt (without the attraction of being worn in a contest).
