I have a 06 Outback auto and looking to change some after market shift knob.

Wondering if anyone know what is the size that will fit on the Outback

is it:

12x1.25 or 10x1.25 or 8x1.25

10 x 1.25. Same as nissan knobs I believe.

Auto = 10x1.25
Manuals =12x1.25

Got it

So far no one really mention about them on LGT/OB

The knobs are not the same between my s13 and my LGT...so yeah

Yup what they said. Almost all other auto cars use M8 size shift knobs but not the subarus.
