Looks decent, but the 31mpg figures (13.2km/liter) seems a bit optimistic, at least for how they were driving!

Probably using Imperial gallons. In US gallons, it would be about 25 mpg.

I did use an online calculator: http://www.vangeyn.net/mpg/?km=13.2&submit=Convert

Only mistake I made was in post above mixing up km/l and l/100km, still ends up at 31mpg US and 37mpg British.
