I just dismounted some tires (Ventus HRII) from some rims I'm selling with the intention of using them on another set. The tread on these tires looks very good implying limited mileage. However internally of one had a groove on one side of the tire. I don't think these are specifically run-flat technology.
The tire guy was thinking that it might have been run-flat, but this groove was only on one side of the tire and not both. There was some black powder inside but not a lot. He said typically that run flat damage would show a groove on both side internally. They are directional tires, so he was speculating that it might have been run low and worn from cornering?
Attached is a picture of the inside and the outside.
Does this look useable still? There are no cords showing.
