Hello everyone, another problem I have encountered with my 2012 Legacy GT.
When I switch gears after 3000 rpm, I hear a horn like noise. What could this be? Should I worry about it? I only have 6200+ kms on the GT. Any thoughts? Thanks
It's pretty much like nuclrxn's problem:

Take it back to the dealer for a warranty repair. Sounds like someone wired your horn to your neutral safety switch.

Are you accelerating when this happens? It could be that dang TMIC coupler.

Sounds like what minuccims has suggested. That's my bet too.
If you don't mind working on your car yourself, it's worth checking out, fix is pretty easy.
The couplers are notorious for allowing the Intercooler to slip out of the hoses under repeated boost cycles. The fix is to remove the couplers (don't put them back on), wipe down the mating surfaces with a solvent (like CRC Throttle Body Cleaner) to remove any oily residue, then reinstall Intercooler ... line everything up and tighten her up. Here's some pics for your reference.
Good Luck

Pulled off the IC and trimmed the rubber piece, tightened everything up and test drove it. No more goose noise. Thanks for the help again.

I'll be doing this mod tonight since the "horny" noise came back! Ah, well. Not that critical.
