Rallycross at the Badlands - Badlands Offroad park in Attica Indiana.

This even is being organized by the fine folks over at indianaimpreza.com - cross posting here to maximize visibility and get as many people out there as possible.

DISCLAIMER:
This is not an SCCA sanction event. This even is being hosted courtesy of the Badlands Offroad park and a few of us who have volunteered to set it up. Insurance is provided by the Badlands, all participants and spectators will need to sign a waiver IMMEDIATLY upon entering the property.

NOTE:
We're mainly targeting the general subaru rallycross crowd - but this is open to all types vehicles (cars / trucks / jeeps / etc..). We'll have a basic safety inpsection prior to starting, but ultimately it will be up to the participant to decide if thier vehicle is okay to run.

LOCATION:
Entering at the south entrance off of Brier RD
Google Map Link

REGISTRATION:
$50, register by Dec 1st - late & walk-on registration may be higher (Still working out these details - more registration details to be available soon)

TENATIVE SCHEDULE
9:00AM-10:00AM - Registration / Tech Inspection / Course Walk
10:15AM-10:30AM - Mandatory Driver's Meeting
10:30AM -First car on course.
12:30PM - Lunch Break
1:30 - Start Afternoon runs
3:00 - Awards

The Course:

The course is being prepared for us by the staff at Badlands, We've toured the property and given them the layout we want. They will take a bulldozer and smooth and level the course to make it appropriate for our cars.
The course is about 3/4 mile long over a mix of hard packed dirt and gravel with some serious elevation variation. I'm anticipating it to be 90-120 seconds per run, and aiming for at least 10 runs.

Here are some assorted views of the course from other vantage points to give a better idea of the layout:
Standing on the NE corner looking SW

Standing on the west side looking east

Looking at the straight

the hill climb back up on to the top ridge

Please keep an eye on this thread for updates - will likely be updating this a bit over the next month.
AND PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG!!! The more people we can get, the better this will be and the better our chances become of getting to do this again in the future.

Since most people will probably be coming in off of I-74 - here are directions from the highway:
Google Maps Directions
Google Maps Directions

It's about 15 minutes off the highway.

Distance from nearby cities:

About 1 hour / 20 minutes from Indy (west side)

3 hours from Ft Wayne / Louisville / Cincinnati / Evansville

2.5 hours from Chicago

Sorry for the slow reply.... I believe the registration is closed now, but we have a waiting list going should spots open up.
I've actually run (and won) events in my lowered lgt. However this is a new venue and I'm not 100% certain what the course conditions will be like. We're doing what we can to make it as car friendly as possible though. We have several stock wrx's and sti's signed up, for what it's worth.

yep, helmet required. if you're familiar with SCCA rallycross - it will follow the same general rules.
