Well, looks like the car is getting to the end of it's journey with us. Currently sitting at 199,747 miles, it's been a blast and performed faithfully since the kit was installed. In fact, I've just gotten back from doing the compression and leakdown test, and the numbers speak for themselves:
Good, if not great numbers for any 200k motor, much less a boosted one!
As some of you may know, it's been replaced by a Scion FR-S, aka a Cheaper BRZ. Which is now also boosted. You may also know it's a 2.0-liter motor this time around, and that we have created a front/under engine turbocharger for it (230whp, 200ft/lbs on pump gas). A very fun car, especially now, but I also have to admit it doesn't match the early torque that the Outback makes.
But, FYI - that turbo setup we have on the FR-S/BRZ is probably going to be the future base of turbo kits for the new 2.0-liter n/a motors.
