2010 2.5gt starting issues?

I have a 2010 legacy gt with 39000 miles. Today it decided not to start, lights came on but wouldn't turn over for about 5 mins. First time this has happened. Then it finally started. Every week when I turn the key it hesitates to start.
Has anyone had this happen?

I don't know if this helps since I drive a 3rd gen Legacy but I had the same issue. It turned out to be the starter. The weird part - haven't changed anything but the problem is gone for now. I had this problem over the fall season. Go to advanced auto for example and have them test it. It's free.

could be as simple as a starter solenoid, bad wire, or the starter. might have to bring it to the stealership, is it still under warranty ?

Yes it's under an extended warranty .

It might even be the battery.

Is it cranking or not? If its cranking but not firing it's not a starter. If you turn the key and hear a tick or nothing at all it's the starter.
