I had an slight accident before which I havent touched anything because with a little bit of buffing the area, it looked ok.

The hood has been twisted litle bit. Like the right side of the part right next to grill is more towards inside than normal condition,

and left side of it is more towards outside. Anyways, I didnt really care after getting a qoute from few autoshop that its 1.5 - 2k

to install the new hood with the paint. The problem is one of the bended part paint starts to crack and looks like they are going

to comeout soon . I would like to see how much the hood is and maybe deal with some autoshop? lol. Also I have heard that

when you change the hood, some serial number which is located on hood will also change which means that when I sell my car

later on, people will think I got in big accident because the hood was changed. Is this true?

According to Rage's refrence site, the MSRP of the whole hood component looks like $400. Than I can say that it is rip off for 1.5-2k to fix hood? I don't know how I can get OEM parts within Canada though.

I know this is really late to your predicament but certifit. you'll have to paint it and all but they are the cheapest most reliable... for canada you might need a friend in the states to ship it up to you.

^ Unless you have a FMIC, you would lose functionality of the air cooling your TMIC which could lead to more heatsoak and less horsepower.

Would a 2012 LGT hood be compatible with my 2013 2.5i? Would I need to order any extra components to make the swap possible? Im aware im dealing with an FMIC.. just doing it for aesthetics. Thanks.
