... and I'm loving every minute of it.
I sold my Jetta to a local guy about a month ago. It was bittersweet, but I wanted more power and a more capable (read: AWD) drivetrain. The stock turbo had 155k on it along with the clutch, and I knew it was a matter of time before they went, and at that point, I was going to upgrade and have 250whp+ to the front wheels with no limited slip diff, and that seemed stupid to me.
I found my LGT at a dealer via AutoTrader, and called the salesman immediately. I ran out of the house and drove to look at it, and ended up sheepishly putting a deposit on it. I got a ride to the dealer the next day after work, nearly drained my savings for a down payment on it, and signed about three dozen papers to get it. While signing the last paper, the guy told me he got a call at 5:30am that morning from someone four hours away wanting to put a deposit on it over the phone, and got a another call at lunchtime from someone else wanting to do the same, so I consider myself pretty lucky.
Anyway... The car's a silver on black leather 2006 Legacy GT, 5mt. The interior is 9.5/10, and I'd give the exterior a solid 9/10, with a small share of rock chips as expected with 78k mile car. It seems to have some kind of short throw shifter installed along with shift bushings, on top of the factory momo knob and STI pink knob pedals.
I've got about 600 miles on it in the last week and a half, and I've had a stupid grin on my face ever time I've driven it.
