I'm looking at an '06 LGT with 104k miles.
I know it will need the timing belt and water pump done soon, as well as some minor bodywork (some dents on doors and a small rust spot on the quarter panel).

The title is clean and appears to be a two owner car (according to DMV Records). It has no modifications and has been dealer serviced for the majority of its life.

I'd like to know what a decent price would be for the car, the seller stated he'd sell it for $10,000. I'm new to the Subaru market so I don't really have a reference to base the price (other than KBB or Edmunds).

location?

Price seems high given the work required.

Its in the Cleveland area.
I did a quick craigslist and autotrader search and most similar cars (Manual, GT, local area) were around 11-13k.

This. $10k would be a fair price for the car if all you needed was body work, but if homeboy hasn't done his water pump, timing belt ect, that will be at least an extra grand out of your pocket to do - and it NEEDS to be done pretty much as soon as you get it.

Auto or manual? Will this need a clutch soon too?

Timing belt kit is do at 105,000 miles. Figure close to a 1000 job.

If he has my same luck he'll get TOB squeal right away after he does the WP... then blow out a tire... then get backed into... oh well at least he isn't paying $13 like I did. Mine had 84k miles.
