on my 3rd day of ownership (my odometer reading is around 225 miles), i noticed a few error messages on the dash of my brand new 2013 legacy 2.5i limited w/ nav: ABS, BRAKE, and traction control icon.

i brought it into the dealership and after a few hours they told me there was a loose connection on the ABS hydraulics and that it was fixed. no problem. the warning lights were no longer lit and i drove the car home.

the next day (today) i start my car and the same ABS, BRAKE, and traction control lights come on!!! the car is at the dealership again.

anyone else experience something like this? as you can imagine this is very concerning to me...

thanks!!

No problems here in regards to your issue.

How ever I had had my Airbag light come on a one point, but after restating the car it went away.

thanks for your reply, sleepr56.

update: my ABS unit is messed up so they're replacing the whole thing. which means my new car is going to spend the night at the dealership. sigh.

Is that the unit on the front right wheel well or another part?

Prolly the one over the front right wheel. Rukusphil, don't get too disheartened. Many new vehicles, regardless of manufacturer have one or two gremlins that crop up very early on in ownership. Best that it happens now versus right after the factory warranty expires. Make sure you get a loaner. The dealer should be bending over backwards for you at this point.

thanks guys. the dealer did give me a loaner and they are being very nice to me. and you're right GTEASER that it's better now while i'm still covered by warranty!

the ABS unit that is defective is the one under the hood. it's a small component, like a 6" X 6" X 6" block. has 4 wires coming out of it, 1 to each wheel. it's sort of near the front right wheel, so we may be talking about the same thing.

i'm picking up the car later today (hopefully) so i'll update in case the problem comes back.

That's the German made hydraulic splitter for the vdc. I wonder if there's bad valves in it.
