May seem like a dumb question, but did you check to make it sure it was filled with the correct amount of fluid? And yes, the tranny is covered under the 5/60K warranty.

I saw in another thread that you said your car called for 4.1 quarts of gear oil but the manual for the 2010+ 6mt states the capacity at 3.9 quarts.

check the dip stick to make sure you have the proper level of gear oil

The gearbox may not like the Amsoil. Do you check to make sure it meets the ratings that the manual specs?

Let me revise that.. added 4 quarts... I used my evac to suck out some of the fluid this morning.. now it's just under the full line ... and yes the amsoil does meet the requirements for gl-5 ... still same probem.. now I'm sitting in the waiting room at the dealer ... they already tried to tell me my car was out of warranty.. and yes 3 36 is out but I still got the power train ... I have a feeling they are going to try and rake me over the coals .... is there any key information I should say in order to get my rightful warranty repair??? Thanks.

Warranty after 36k does not cover everything powertrain related. If they find it to be a wear item you will be SOL. Do not let them try and tell you though that due to you doing it yourself it creates a problem. Hope they don't try and take you to the cleaners.

The diag should oly be a fee if the repair isn't covered under warranty.
