2013 Blacked-Out Headlight Part Numbers

For you 2010+ guys with the silver headlights, here are the 2013 blacked-out headlamp part numbers:

84001AJ22A (Legacy & Outback, Verified, black)
84001AJ23A (Legacy & Outback, Verfiied, black)

84001AJ20A (Outback, unverified, silver)
84001AJ21A (Outback, unverified, silver)

I've been waiting for my friend to get his 2013 Legacy so I can test fit his headlamps on my 2010 LGT. If it fits, I'll get a set and do retrofit with it.

I saw the 2013 Legacy at the dealership and the basic shape of the headlights still look the same. I'm just gonna take a chance and order a set. I seriously doubt Subaru changed mounting points. The grill, bumper cover and fog lights & covers look different though, in shape; for those, I'd have to do more research. But even for those, I'm pretty confident we can do direct swaps.

The only thing I verified is that those part numbers are for the blacked out versions of the 2013 headlights.

I think we can bet that the overall shape/mounting points of the 2013 headlight is the same. It looks the same to me, just different internal design.

It's inexpensive and cost effective for a manufacturer to refresh a model with bumper cover, grille and headlight/tail light layout, but it gets expensive when they have to re-engineer or redesign too many parts. The chassis, fender and hood metal stampings, and possibly the tooling for assembly, would all have to change if the headlight were really different.

I am interested in this as well. Does anyone have a shot of the 2013 with the DRL's on? Are they LED's?
