Hi. I have 2012 Legacy 2.5i. My car came with 205/60/16 tires. Can I switch to 205/65/16? I know the difference will be 20mm and I am assuming it will raise the car. Am I correct?
Also I want to reuse my old WRX steel wheels (55mm offset) out cars are 48mm offset. Will this be a problem?

offset is relative to the width of the wheel, it probably won't be a problem.

I doubt you will have any issues fitting those wheels on the legacy, but they will look very sunken into the wheel well.

As for the tires, you will just be a little bit taller, should work as well.

Sunken? Ins't higher positive offset "pushing" wheel out of the wheel well?

Edit* nevermind I just looked at diagrams online. You are right. Thanks for info.

But OEM offset for 2010 2.5GT is +55mm, so it won't really look that bad... that being said I bought some aftermarket rims with +45 offset, and like the look a lot better. But if you already have the rims, and don't like the look, it would be WAY cheaper to get spacers, than to get new rims...
