Hey err body! I'm Spencer from washington and feels good to finally be posting some stuff! I've been reading and obsessing on this site for a while now trying to absorb everything I can from this well of knowledge.
I have a 1997 2.5 GT with just a little over 227,000 on her. I've owned this car for a little over 5 years now and it has brought me nothing but shear pleasure and a love for all things subaru. Up until recently I really didn't now shit about cars or anything mechanical and I shied away from it. But now I cant get enough of it, and this forum only feeds my need to learn more.
So now I'm here and i feel this is the next step in my learning process. To be able to talk to you more knowledgeable people and ask questions as to why and what. And get some advice on what and what not to do.
So far not much has been done in the way of performance mostly just things to keep it running.
NEW
- head gasket
- Oil pan gasket
- Timing belt
- Engine mounts
- Full set of pads and rotors
- Lightweight crank pully
- short ram intake
- rear 19mm sway bar
- NGK plugs
- Borla cat back exhaust
- Stern 18x8 wheels (funny story)
So now my journey begins into the dark depths of mods and edits to my car. I'll start a new post in the 2nd gen forum to help better explain what i want to accomplish and so i may be guided in the right direction.
