im needing help to find where the thread for the diy to have a clean cut off on my factory projector lens. i found a company here in houston tx who will paint my headlights for 100 dollars with warrenty. so while they have the lens off i can go in and fix the cut off on the lights. so if anyone can point me the right direction would be most greatful.

Buy the strongest aluminium back high temp tape at home depot (its the big roll, around $20). Bend the metal flap up, use the tape and cover the opening, then bend that metal flap back to where it was. I used a flashlight thru the projector to test the cut-off and make sure no lights were leaking before re-installing the headlight.

So the objective is to just cover that little hole completely right??
Does the little flap need to be there or can it be removed completely?
I suppose it could just stay and cover the hole right..?

I just folded the flap down to cover the hole, way easy when the headlights are taken apart.

mosthated, you can't bend the flap down or up with the 2012 model like the previous years could. I remember reading posts where other users confirmed this for their 2012 and 2013 Legacys. You're going to have to plug it.
