Looked on FP website and it states:

"The 3" inlet of the FP GREEN HTA™ for Subaru STI/WRX means that the TGVs will need to be removed from the vehicle to gain the required compressor housing clearance."

-Does that pertain to us?
-Does it mean delete TGV's or remove them out completely?
-Any one used this turbo?

I'm not understanding "need to be removed from the vehicle to gain the required compressor housing clearance"

Ultimately it means you need deletes, bigger inlet, and phenolic spacers while you are at it because it buys you space that without would be even less fun stuff the inlet and lines under the manifold. Not that I have installed one but I have read a LOT of FPGreen and 3" inlet install threads and have a pretty wild setup on the LGT.

Really it doesn't matter because you can't get your hands on a HTAGreen unless you have some trick I did not try (and good for you if you do!). I paid for one LAST YEAR. Had to get a refund. AMR CXR 550 in my car now. Same turbo as fastest LGT on the forum. Turbo is nicknamed "Green Killer" by AMR.

I must be lucky then since I have a Green sitting in my closet. Well, its been sitting there for awhile. Starting to finally piece things together for next year.

Any help to guide me towards these install links?

^No argument there! We waited months and months for one before demanding a refund.

From gathering info, it seems like this is what I'll need.

-TGV deletes
-Phenolic spacer
-3" inlet
-1000cc injectors (planning E85 down the road, but pump 92 to start)
-DW65
-38mm waste gate

I'm currently protuned on cobb and will continue to use cobb. Goal is 320+hp. I'm sure I will need a new clutch but I want to use the stock clutch as long as I can. Once the clutch is out, I plan to build a built 5 speed or use a STI 6 speed. My current driving habbit is granny style.

Any thing I missed?

Since you are tuning in 3rd gear and 5th is the first to slip from inability to hold power you shouldnt have a problem with swapping clutch later but I have a sneaky suspicion "later" is an objective word.

I bet a clutch replacement will come "sooner" than later with an FPhtaGreen.

hahaha!

I'm more worried about grinding off a tooth gear then the clutch going out. By no means do I shift hard or launch the car like no tomorrow.

But when I'm at the 1/4 track, its a different story.

I was able to fit my Perrin 3" inlet without a phenolic spacer, with my ATP gtx3076. The spacer would have made install go a bit easier though.
But now that I'm going with an aluminum NA intake manifold, I got 8mm spacers.
TGV deletes are a must.

Look into fuel rails, lines, and adjustable FPR too.

I'm sure once I want to start making insane amount of power where I'll blow a hole in my block, I'll start looking into more fuel supply.

Or do everything right the first time around and not blow a hole in your block

If your only looking for 320hp the 2.5 inlet green is always an option. I made 350 with stock inlet pipe. I deleted my tgvs, but i dont think i really had to. And i think my green is pre hta.
