im changing out my struts and springs for king springs with 04 kybs in the rear, i got the spring and top hat off, but how do i get the dust boot off? a picture is attatched to illustrate what mine looks like. also, i did not see a rubber bushing that many struts have, is this because the bump stop is on the frame of the car?

I used a thin flathead screwdriver to brake the grime loose and pulled it off. I also think that I started from the inside of the boot. Good luck.

It just pulls off, but it'll be stuck on there pretty good. I didn't need any tools to get them off though; just pulled/pushed until it came off...wasn't too hard.

If you really get stuck you can use channel locks to grab a third of the boot at a time and pinch it slightly to loosen the rust between the boot and the shaft.
