Ok, so after hearing from the bodyshop about 7 months ago that I needed to take my car to Subaru to get it diagnosed, I did not.
The shop said they needed to do a leakdown test and they couldn't.
Fast forward to today.
I just picked my car up from Arnst Motors and he was very nice.
He printed out the wiring schematic for the auto climate control and explained where he thought my problem was coming from.
In the picture below, you can see the circled part which is actually the entire HVAC interface (labeled AC control panel). He said everything checks out except for that piece itself. Either the harness after it is unplugged or has a bad connection, or that interface of buttons is FUBAR.
What would you guys recommend?
Does anyone know how far back that next harness is so that I can unplug it and plug it back in to diagnose?? He was unsure of where it was actually located.
Next option is borrowing or purchasing a new interface.
Best part is he diagnosed it for free! That has never happened. I owe him something. Probably just word of mouth and bring some business his way.
