My wife and I visited Reykjavik as well as driving around to some of the local scenery, such as Geysir, Selfoss, Blue Lagoon, etc last December. All of our friends thought we were crazy for going to Iceland in winter, but we thought it was great. It's not like it was deep winter and we weren't heading out to the backroads anyway. Pretty surreal experience to see the sun come up at 11 am with sunset around 3 pm while the sun never climbs high enough to get rid of the sunrise/sunset orange. Absolutely beautiful country, even when snow is on the ground. We LOVE your country. Everybody (and I mean everybody) is completely fluent in English. I read somewhere that the literacy rate in Iceland is 100%.
Even saw a Subie wagon (not a GT) parked near that lake in downtown Reykjavik. I was checking out all the EDM goodness though while my wife laughed at me.
Welcome to LGT.com!
Got any pics of some of those great suvs/4x4s with suspension and giant wheel/tire conversions we saw all over the place? Those were awesome. I totally want one.
