Long story short...back in '09 I joined the forum and switched from Mustangs to a 2005 OBP 2.5i Legacy after driving a friend's car. Since then, the car has been great...easy maintenance, great gas mileage, amazing in the New England winters, etc...
Two year ago I bought a truck, which has been nothing but problems since. The truck had a major issue a couple of weeks ago that was going to require thousands of dollars worth of repairs. In order to cut my losses, I needed to trade the truck in; but in order to get a reasonable car payment and pay off the lien, my trusty '05 had to go with it...terrible.
Considered many options, but had to go with a known quantity and show some brand loyalty to the car that has been almost perfect for the last 4+ years. I personally am not a huge fan of the newer body styles, so finding an 05-09 with low mileage wasn't the easiest feat. Considered getting a LGT, but really didn't want to deal with the possibility of a turbo going bad, or cost of ownership (high test gas, synthetic oil, etc.) Plus, the truck really left a bad taste in my mouth about costly repairs. Finally, at a small dealership in my hometown, I found a DGM 2008 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited with 32k miles.
Love the new look, got a bit more with the limited package (which I did not have before), and look forward to continued pride of ownership. Still feel bad about having to trade in the '05 though...enjoy the cell pictures.
