Hi everyone. I am new to the forum. I have a 2012 Legacy 2.5 limited. While I was driving on the highway I opened my window and when I closed it, it sounded like it popped off then back on the track. It does not do this on low speeds. I also noticed when the other window or sunroof is open it does not have the problem. I took it to the dealer. They called the Subaru tech line, and they said they are currently aware of the issue and are working on a fix.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?

No, I do not have this problem, or I have not experienced this.

I have heard a rattling sound from my driver's side window while its down, I hit a speed bump and thought it had jumped the track. I'll look into it a bit more. Thanks

I noticed the same thing. Please keep us posted on what they do. I think its the air pressure on the glass at highway speeds that causes it to pop against the edge of the track. Lower speeds, no pressure, no pop. It's probably going to require stiffer moldings on the top door sill to keep the glass from bowing in/out.
That's my opinion.

Both my 2011 and a 2011 rental 2.5i have exhibited this. It's pretty loud.

Anyone have any success with resolving the driver's side window issue (i.e. closing it at highway speeds)? My 2012 2.5i has the precise same issue. I am going to call the dealer on it but thought I would find out what others have heard first.
Thank you!

Same here but speed makes no difference. Only happens once in awhile

My windows only sound like someone sealed them up at night. They unstick themselves when I open them

I have experienced the same thing. Only happens at highway speeds. Slowing down allows the window to "pop" back into the track and close all the way.

My front right window doesnt seem to close well when lowered on the highway. It has an annoying noise like its partially open. It seems to fix itself eventually.
Also my left rear window switch on that door stopped working but the master switch on the drivers door works still

The problem was resolved. After a few dealer visits, and the factory tech trying to fix the problem, I was offered a full buy back. Subaru bought back the vehicle and I don’t have a window problem any more.
Great customer service, great company, bad car
You must call Subaru Of america and open a case.

They bought the car back because of this?

Do I have this correct that they offered a full buy-back because of a noise in the left front window? A little unnerving, this... What do they know that we do not?
