HI I'm new to this forum. I have a 06 Subaru Legacy GT Manual transmission with 110XXX miles on it, and about a month ago i started hearing a small noise coming from the engine at about 2500rpm. you can't hear the noise at all when car is at idle or cold or hot only when gear is engage and i can hear on 3rd 4th and 5th gear at the rpm mentioned above. I'm not sure if its like a rattling noise or like a bearing or rod? I already took it down to the Dealer see if they could figure it out but they couldn't identify the noise so i only end up paying $$ for nothing. I put my car up in the ramps got underneath and check my heating shields and its not them everything is tight i check my engine oil and transmission oil as well everything is on level. but i still can't figure out what this noise could be or where is coming from exactly. my best guess is from transmission but if anyone with more experience would be able to explain me what could this be, so please if anyone has experience this on their Legacy and can help me figure it out I would really appreciate it. I've heard that subaru's make or are a little noisy but I'm sure this noise isn't normal. if anyone can please help me outtt.
