any where you order suabru crank, rods and pistons SHOULD ask for the vin.
this guarantees the parts will fir your car.
as for DOHC heads, it may depend on the year,
but they will probably bolt on to the block.
the intake is a different matter.
the 96 - 99 ej25D intake will not mate with the ej251 / 253 heads.
i don't know about the later heads.
but later engines may not work since they changed the valve stuff to ''variable''?? idk.
better to stick to your year group.
and why are you rebuilding your engine?
you can get back on the road for less money than a rebuild.
either good used, with some risk, check out www.car-part.com
or a jdm swap with less risk. google japanese engines.
i bought a 00 lego wagon w/82k miles.
the first month i had it it spun a rod bearing.
i bought a local used 01 engine w/125k,
i put my heads and intake on the 01 block, the head gaskets were leaking, oozing.
and 2 years later it is driving happily.
i got lucky and bout the engine for $400 from a wrecked part out.
