Just went through this exercise about 3 weeks ago and went with the Hawk HPS pads.

Front - HB533F.668 Rear - HB671F.628
Cheapest I found was $60 for the rear and $76 for the front (all prices include shipping).

Also check Infamous Performance & Tuning. A vendor here on the board.
Very easy to navigate and clear identifies front vs. rear.
Bought my Hawk PC pads on their site recently.

would HB533F.668 front pads be for the latest legacy 2.5GT turbo?some websites show the front ref to be HB432F.661 whilst HB533F.668 is for the outback. Does it mean that the latest legacy gt shares the same brake pads as the outback? Dont want to order the wrong parts. Thanks for the replies.

No clue what the outback uses but the info I provided above was for replacing the pads on my 2010 LGT.

Dealers want $800-900 for front and back brakes. Rather grab these and replace it myself on my 2010 3.6r. Does anyone have instruction on how to change brake pads out?

If you are just changing the pads it's really not that difficult if you have any mechanical ability. Just make sure you bed the pads in correctly after the install.
