So as I was driving to work, I ran over something big and I cracked a rim. I was hoping to get some help in finding locations to get a new/used GT rim. Hoping not to go to a dealer since it would cost close to $400. Went to a tire shop to check the tires and they think it is fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

good call, I'll start there...Hoping to get this fixed sooner rather than later. I have to call the dealership to see if they even stock the rim.

how about a set of aftermarket wheels? you could potentially get 4 rims for the price of 2 stockers...

That is very true. I could sell the three remaining GT rims and it may be a wash in the end. Any recommendations on relatively inexpensive 18" rims? Looked through the for sale section, but didn't find anything that I liked.

Fredbeans has Prodrive GT1's for $245 each, which is a bit more than I would like to sepnd, but aren't too bad. http://www.fredbeansparts.com/prodri...x100-48mm.html

Local dealers would have to order the rims and it looks like they wouldn't get it until Wednesday. I may need to put on a winter tire when I get home to be able to drive the car to and from work for a few days.

Saw a few options at both sites. Any recommendations for brands that are durable, yet cost effective? The first company that came to mind were enkei (EKM3) at about $163 each. But any suggestions would be appreciated, I'm not familiar with good rim vendors.

PM David (Drift Motion), he'll get you some great prices on aftermarket wheels.

also check wheeldude.com for rotas if you want a cheaper replica option. I think rotas are fine for the money but i know some will disagree.

also look at heuberger @ cheapsubaru.com for replacement parts. They advertise at 25% below retail and are a forum supporter.

That's the first time I've seen that website. They have the "silver" wheel for $200 and a "chrome" option for $370. I've never heard or seen chrome GT wheels, so I'm curious what they mean. Has anyone ever used this site before?

EDIT: Reviews online seemed to be very mixed. They are also "refurbished" wheels which scares me.

I also ended up looking at heuberger (thanks compsurge) and their prices are pretty good (around $300 shipped for a new wheel). Debating just buying this wheel and not getting 4 new aftermarket wheels.

I am guessing its the 2012 LGT's wheel that had a slight chrome to it... here is a pic.
