I think most of the GT owners here still need the scoop in their hood to feed cool air to their intercooler. There's only one person on here that had a FMIC, and they sold the car a while ago. As far as I know the current owner is not on the forum...
Might be SOL on this quest.

and yes eventually i wanna put in an ej255. i was basically told i was wasting my time from someone on this site before. im not looking for more power than that, im sure the CVT can handle it. my outback is almost paid off. i love it but just want power, trading in for a 3.6 is just too much money and ill never get the awesome boxer rumble i miss so much. ive looked into an AVO turbo kit but a whole new engine would probably be better.

you should forge ahead and do the swap now. please keep us updated on how the cvt holds up. my guess is it wont, but thats just my personality im sure.

someone on subaruoutback.org is currently in the process of installing a turbo kit. i would like to see some sort of evidence that the CVT can't handle anymore power like everyone says.

If I ever get FMIC I'd swap out for a NA hood. But to be honest, I'm pretty happy with stg1 as of right now.

i'd like to know what the cvt power limit is also. which is why you should forge ahead and find out. then keep us posted. someone will have to do it.
