Hey guys:

sorry for the late response. Over the past months, we have visited 4 different molding factory for a new revision of the honeycomb mesh.

I have decided trashed the old mold that we used to produced the prototype, because the final mesh is not acceptable for us.

I am waiting for new quotes and new prototype to arrive from our factory over sea now.

Again, thanks for the patient that's given us and allow us to make a better product.

Just tested the emblem (USDM) original on them, fits perfectly.

So i'll supply the USDM emblem for those who put in the deposit before the deadline.

STATUS UPDATE: Prototype Finished (6/8/2011) - Display at WBM - 6/18/2011

Hi All:

For those who has been following the JDM STI grill gauging interest thread, we have finally source out a reputable factory oversea in manufacturing the honey comb grill.

It's a project we picked up since 2009 and now we finally have all the pieces together to move forward.

The hardest part of the entire project are the initial molding cost and the large minimum order demand by the factories that we have spoken with.

After months of negotiation and sourcing out alternative solution, we finally reach a price point where I feel it's within acceptable market price.

The grill surrounding will be produce in either fiber glass or carbon fiber. Fiber glass version will be painted flat black for install without extra paint service.

Prototype are finished (see pics above) as of June 8, 2011. We are taking orders and deposits now.

We will request final payment after the grill are ready to be ship from the factory oversea. About 30 days to reach our NY warehosue.

2. Can you send me pictures of the finish product now ?

NO, I don't have any pictures of the finish products. The mold will be be created until we reach 50 deposits

3. If we don't reach 50 deposits, will the money be refund back ?

Yes, we will refund back the deposit if we don't get close to 50 deposits. I will consider 30 deposits as "close".

4. Will there be a place to hold the emblem ?

The Honey Comb grill will have the JDM emblem holder.

5. What kind of Emblem and where can I get them ?

We will offer them as an option. Should be $10 to $20.

question, alot of aftermarket grills has a gap on the bottom. will it have tabs to pull the bumper flush with the bottom of the grill ?

once all 50 deposits are there, how long from manufacture to delivery?

Will the honey comb be recessed inside the grill or be on the outer edge?

i would but i dont have any JDM pics nor do i know its its flush

I hate the recessed look of my R-Rev CF grille. Sounds great, need to check my finances before I commit though.

Another question I'm assuming the Honeycomb portion will be plastic like the JDM versions?
