2012/2013 Nav Swap

Anyone know if the Nav head unit in a 12 can be replaced with the one from a 13? Ideally it would just be the main unit, not the screen, etc.

My dealership doesn't think so, but that is just a guess on their part. I've yet to hear anyone give a firm yes or no.

Looking at the two wiring diagrams, quite a few connectors are different - you might be able to make it work if you had the pigtails from the 2013, but it would take some time/effort.

I just went through this with my dealer because my 2012 Pioneer Nav was such a POS.....they agreed to replace it with a new unit which helped somewhat. During the discussions I asked if they would put in a new 2013 unit.....Flat out....cannot do it was the answer....apparently it would not fit and the wiring was different. I offered to pay the difference if it could be done....NO WAY was the answer.
Of course with a huge injection of $$$$$$$ almost anything is possible, but not practical.
My next thought and "maybe" my next project would be to get a good after market stereo installed and fab up a mounting for a Garmin Nuvi in the dash where the Pioneer sits now....It was easy in my '06 LGT.....fitted it into the "cubby"
