We're sold out!! We may have a few more Vf52 turbos in a couple months.
Sorry for the confusion everyone, I was ill-informed by my Subaru parts dealer, this is in fact a Vf52 turbo.
Hey Guys, we just did a really cool swap on a Legacy GT that I think you will find interesting. We took the brand new 2009 Subaru WRX turbo and slapped it onto a great customer of ours' 2008 Subaru Legacy GT. The fitment was perfect with the stock intercooler and no issues came up at all.
This turbo has been said to be the same internals as the STI turbo, but with the correct compressor housing for the LGT! This means that a STI manifold swap is not necessary for this turbo upgrade.
We're selling this turbo for WELL below the price of any similar sized turbo! Seriously, if you're buying a used Vf52, a brand new Vf52 may be cheaper to buy from us!
These turbos are available in extremely limited quantities so please contact us directly for availability and price.
Modifications to this car are as follows:
Stock fuel pump, stock top mount, stock injectors. The only modification other than the turbo was an SPT short ram intake, SPT cat back, Invidia catless downpipe, and GT Spec unequal length header all being tuned with a Cobb Accessport v2.
This dyno plot shows what we can do with the SI Drive that many of the newer Subaru models feature. The highest line is the S#, while the lower two are S and i
. This allows you to choose just how much power you want, or how fuel efficient you would like the car to be.
Unfortunately the car is an automatic which makes it very difficult to compare to similarly modified cars that have manual transmissions. We've seen ~30whp difference between the two on average.
