One alignment?

I got an alignment back around 9000 miles I think and it was free. I thought I read alignments are free if still under bumper to bumper. I tried getting one again and they wanted to charge me. They said ONLY ONE alignment is free. What is true?

Alignment is cover for first year/12000 miles as adjustment and wear items. After that is just normal wear and tear. I would consider going to Firestone or somewhere that offers life time alignment at one time charge. It's well worth it.

Once you deviate from stock that changes the suspension geometry, a lifetime warranty will not help you unless you know the tech and can get that specific person every time. I have gotten a quickie alignment on my GT that trashed the right side of my summers and chewed into the winters. On my 07 Outback, an alignment was so bad, they had to replace all four tires.

Sometimes getting more is not best....
