Well I have been asked to post more pictures of my car a few times. Today I took the opportunity to borrow a good friends DSLR. Fair warning I'm no photographer.

As far as a mod list goes here is everything I can remember...

BC BR coil overs
Whiteline sways
Whiteline end links
Whiteline Roll Center Adjustment kit
Whiteline Anti Lift Kit
Miscellaneous bushings

Perrin GT3076 Rotated turbo kit (08+ STi fitment)
850cc injectors (modded oems)
Walbro 255lph pump
Engine Logics custom air to water intercooler
Perrin equal length headers
Invidia catback
Motor/trans/pitch stop mounts
TGV deletes
STi intake manifold

Yes the motor is stock. The car was tuned conservatively with regard to the size of the turbo that is on it. It was dialed in at 350 whp and 335 wtq for now. Eventually I will get a built motor in the car and wring some more power out of it. But for now it is a blast to drive.

Running 22 psi and in 3rd peak boost is around 3800 rpm.

The install and opensource tune were done by Engine Logics here in Houston.

On with the pics

You will have to forgive me for my filthy engine bay. I haven't cleaned it in some time.
In this picture you can see the air to water heat exchanger where an fmic would go.

There sure is an awefull lot of hoses in there.

The air to water core mounted in the factory top mount location is actually two cores mated together flowing in opposite directions.

Garrett GT3076r

Perrin ELH

The custom intake, and water reservoir can be seen here. There is of course a pump buried behind my bumper as well.

And last but not least the obligatory butt shot.

Very nice looking car!

Good, conservative, motor-saving power figures.

Wow. I've always loved the brownish LGT's. Classy (IMO) and can be done up very nice with a few touches of black. I'm sure it's a great time.

The car is kind of loud now so the sleeper thing only goes so far. But aside from the noise the car does blend in fairly well.

Sorry I don't have a video camera.

Thank you all for the compliments. I really like the color too ("Deep Bronze Metallic" yeah it's brown). It looks great in the sun when its clean. The metal flake gives it a nice depth. The black accents were a huge improvement in my opinion too. I got the rims a few years ago after a really nasty tire failure chewed up one of the original rims. I only recently painted the grill surround and "wings".

Don't say I never gave you anything.

Seriously though the credit goes to my buddy who was kind enough to lend me his camera for a couple of days.

I am typically useless for pictures.

It was just a good enough deal that I was cool with throwing it in. I know plenty of people have made great power with the stock plastic one. just a bit of bling I guess.

Love the uniqueness of your engine bay! Its fun to look at and think about. Rare color, rare mods, beautiful condition.

All around a wonderful example of a LGT.

I'd love to go with an AWIC setup like that, how much did something like that run you?

Thank you I really appreciate the kind words. Admittedly the configuration requires a bit of a jumble. Needless to say I wont be attempting to do a tucked bay. But for the most part I am going for function over form.

It was not cheap. The parts alone are probably as much as a front mount. Then the labor for assembly and fitting bring it up from there. If something like that doesn't scare you off I would recommend contacting the guys who set me up.

The car is literally never noticeably down on power. I never have to worry about air leaks either. I wouldn't trade it for a front mount any day of the week.

The fact that its not tucked and is easy to follow and understand, yet not a total mess that makes it fun to look at and think about. I can actually see what you did.

If it were mine, I would want to hard-plumb the two coolers together instead of having a long, soft, hose-U and I would find a heat exchanger (isnt that what its called behind the bumper in a a/w setup?) with over/under lines on one side so I could plumb everthing on one side (whichever makes one sense/is easier to plumb). Im sure there is a reason it is the way it is setup.

Some sort of hard line would be interesting, but the diameter of the hose is pretty big. With a system that already costs significantly more than a front mount I can understand why the shop who built it for me wouldn't pitch something like that.

I suppose both major components are heat exchangers. But yes as you recognized half of the system is up top where the top mount was, and the other half is behind the bumper where a front mount would go.

This kit was able to retain the factory bumper beam too.
