Well guys, I think my next upgrade is going to be an intercooler, but I'm not sure which route to go. I know the stock IC isn't going to last much longer running at 18psi, so I think its time to upgrade.
Should I go with an Aftermarket TMIC or get a FMIC? Which one will give me better performance, with a tune of course.
TMIC recommendations?
FMIC recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

Your turbos not going to last much longer at 18psi.
What are your goals? Want a bigger turbo in the future?

first time i heard someone say the oem turbo will fail soon if you're running 18psi.
imo, unless you find a good price on a used tmic, the itsme fmic is the best bang for the buck and is plenty capable if you ever wish to upgrade turbos.

Original owner and of the 70k on my car, 60k of them were 18-19psi. I'm replacing it soon, but so far so good.

I feel like this debate can go on forever. Another thing I always think when I see a turbo "running at" X-amount of PSI is: how often do you really see peak boost. I mean most ppl DD their cars and probably do not see more than 10 PSI once a drive if their lucky.
Top mount is nice, easier install IMO. Heat soak could be an issue, but over all I like it.
Front mount wouldnt see heat soak and is longer/trickier to install depending on brand.
They each have their pros and cons, depends on what size turbo/mods you plan on in the future. Just my .02

Why dont you get your downpipe installed first before worrying about an IC?
Didnt you just order one?

I'm also on stage 2. I'm also installing a CNT fmic this weekend along with a K&N intake. I will also be tune for 18lbs using an AP.
My car will be daily driven and HPjunkie is correct. It hardly ever see's full boost. It actually hardly sees 10lbs.

If you dont mind the extra work getting it to fit, go fmic. One of the best decisions i have ever made.

Can't tell if that's sarcasm, but my VF46 was hitting 20psi with FMIC... Outlasted the motor too.
