I checked over my previous learningviews and found that I've been at 13-15% AF learning for a while - vacuum leak for ever. Also I've has IAM as low as 0.375 a few times. I started looking at all the hoses I ever disturbed since I owned the car, and found this:
The edge of the lip of the large hose going to the intercooler is damaged and was folded under. I reassembled it flat and retested.
Now my AF correction % is 2-3 at idle. Much better, but is that good enough? IAM is 1.000
I'm not getting as much tip-in knock while sitting (maybe 1 or 2 instead of 10) and I'm not getting the shaky engine at tip-in. But I did notice this sound - dunno it is new, or if it is normal, or if it is the sound of a vacuum leak?
I did the carb cleaner trick all over the hoses and didn't find any spot where the AF correction (or idle) changed.
LVs, before and after "fixing" this hose (not convinced it is fully fixed):
