Not sure if this has been done or if anyone has any advise, but this past weekend a new project has begun.

Engine swapping a 75' Chevy 350 small block into a 2000 Legacy GT Limited. If anyone can provide some specs or has any suggestions please chime in?

Biggest concern we are looking at is what to do with the steering...

I'll be updating with pics as progress move forward.

Why put a 1975 engine in? Why not a more modern LS?

Because a Gen 1 - 350 is a fraction of what a Gen 3/4 LS motor costs, never mind the computer that costs just about what the engine does.

What tranny are you going to try to fit in the thing? I can imagine a manual is the only thing that have a chance of fitting the space provided, I could be wrong tho. I don't envision the stock legacy rear end or axles holding up to a decent amount of torque, especially when it's a V8 and rear-drive only.

Reason for the the 75 is because we have it in our possesion. The motor and 4 speed manual tranny is already been pulled out of a custom 1975 Camero, which body and frame have seen better days.

We are looking to beef up the suspension, and throw a posi rear end into it.

I will definitely keep the board posted on progress. Just noticed, early pic did not post correct. Have to update and add more...

Looks bad because the vehicle has been sitting outside without the tranny in it for the last 8 months.
