Hi all,

First question:

1. Does anyone know if the front seats can be directly swapped between 05 and 08 legacy gt's?

2. Has anyone had the seat vinyl/leather replaced, re-done, or recovered? If so, any idea on cost per seat?

Thanks,

Joe

Bump. I have a drivers seat that has some unsightly scuffs beyond repair. I know you can order new cover from a few parts places. But I feel like the price they charge you would be able to find a new seat entirely. Although, I gotta say I want to keep my original seat for the fact that I have seat heaters that work great!

Cost for new leather is 250ish per part. So 500 per front bucket. Used is a better option. All seats from 05-09 on the legacy GT, legacy 3.0r, and outback XT are identical. Assuming wagon vs sedan of course.

I believe the 05-08 seats are the same but the difficult thing is the brackets an rails are slightly different so it is not a complete plug and play...sensors and airbags stuff are also different...if i recall hope that helps

I have a 2006 legacy spec B,,,which has a very distinct set of Brick red leather seats.

When I recently had my rear brakes as well as a clutch changed at town motors in N.J. They left a huge set of green stains on my driver side seat.

When I retrieved the car,the garage door was closed and I just wanted out of there after seeing the bill. When I got home,left......and then tried to reenter the car I noticed the damage.I was able to remove maybe 85% of the damage, but a quarter sized GREEN Stain on my driver side seat I was unable to remove it.

I must admit,,after complaining they finally seen the light and agreed to repairs.i have no idea how they concocted a accurate dye for a car that only 500 were built,,,but they did.The charge $150 was waived.,however they did excellent repair work .
