So the tpms light comes on the other day. No leaks in any of the tires. I even checked and made sure the pressure was perfect in all four. I added a tiny bit to a couple, but still have the light. Has this happened to anyone else? Maybe I should just take it to the dealership? P.S. I hate the tpms and wish it were never invented!!!

Was it cold when you checked the pressure? Over inflate a few pounds and drive it around to let the TPMS reset.

Does it come on solid when you start the engine or does it flash? Flashing means there is a system fault. My car does this every morning because the factory wheels are stacked up in the barn, 20' or so behind where I park.

I never even saw it flash, it has just been on solid. Now every time you get in the car and start it, it just comes on and stays on. The tires were warm when I first noticed and they were all good when I checked the pressure. This tpms thing is just a big hassle. If I knew I could rip the dash apart without breaking anything and put it back together, I'd rip that stupid bulb out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get your panties out of a wad and bring it to a dealer. Be sure to stop and thank the idiots who sued Ford and Firestone because they were too irresponsible to check tire pressures on their own along your way.

If it constantly goes on/ off due to cold, re-inflate with Nitrogen.

Common issue with Scooby TPMS as the weather turns cold, they even issued some sort of bulletin at one point. What I do is wait till the car has set overnight so the tires are stone cold. Then I fill the tires up with about 2 - 3+ PSI-G over the door sticker. This has worked for me pretty much every time.

I work at a dealer where we use nitrogen....we are constantly getting customers in cause the lite is on. In my opinion nitrogen does not work as expected.

I knew you couldn't wait till spring
You're going to have to bring your car to the dealer and get the new sensors synced with your computer. I believe the wheels you bought have the sensors in them but they aren't the ones that your computer recognizes.
BTW, have fun with those tires in the snow
Let's see some pics of the new wheels!

Look at eveeyrhing post about new rims, before winter abs trying to wait. No one can. Lol. I have my own set for winter. Firsttime I hear of snow and a consistant 37 degrees or under instead of the 70s we been getting past week ill change back. I have all air tools and garage so takes nothing but 20 min of time to change. Car looks so much better Lol. After reading I was just worried about a malfunction or something else was wrong with the blinking. Then someone posted a reset in glovebox for my year. Witch there is a ooff button in there. Anyone knoe what that is?

The button in the glove box disables the trunk release on the dash. It's supposed to be used with the valet key so when you drop your car off they can only open the door, nothing else.
Your light is on because the sensors (if the new wheels have any) haven't been learned to your car.
