Yes they literally did the repair in 10 minutes as I was getting the oil changed. I thought they would schedule a different appointment for the recall and they quickly got it done.

Thanks for the reply. Funny thing, I was just in for an oil change a few days ago and no mention of it from the service dept. really though I expect nothing less from those guys. I have a 2010 Outback, 2010 Legacy. They didn’t mention it on either vehicle.
I guess I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say they don’t have the recall order yet....by the time they replace the faulty parts ive experienced plus the multiple recalls I will have a new vehicle built from the ground up...at the dealership no less.

Didn't you get the letter to call the dealership? It says that you should call the dealership to schedule an appointment. The dealership I was at said they had been busier than heck getting them done for customers. Some dealers are just more diligent than others.

I had mine done during the last oil change as well. Brought in the letter from SOA, and they had it inspected/fixed during that time. They said that have been busy with another recall for the impreza/WRX model on their lower control arms.
That said, my Saab 92x is effected by this recall (control arms), and Saab just went bankrupt. Im left wondering who will be responsible for this recall. Does it move to Subaru since both cars (92x & Impreza) are built by Fuji Heavy? Hmmmm

I think GM was required to do all the warranty and recall work by Obama when they bailed GM out.

This recall, which consists of installing a new wiper motor cover, was performed routinely during my last service appointment when I had the oil, transmission fluid, and f/r differential fluids changed, took them all of an extra 10 minutes.

Last letter I received which was a couple months ago was for another recall which they did fix. I will call them and see if my vehicle is included in this latest round of recalls just in case I may have missed it. This is the 6th recall for my vehicle so I am losing track of them. If this keeps up I will have to keep a journal on all the recall repairs I have done and the ones I need to do. Subaru should include with purchase of a vehicle a nice leather bound journal with the Subaru emblem and the words” recall dates" on the front. Would be very convenient, you could keep it in your glove box for quick access.

What's always interesting to me is my car made in July 09 has only had two recalls. I had expected purchasing a newly retooled car would have more recalls than the cars made after it ...

Nice to hear it only takes 10 minutes.
My stupid dealer is telling me they won't do it on a Saturday because they only have one tech in for oil changes. They didn't seem too interested in doing a weekday appt and giving me a loaner car either.
I hate dealer service. They only work normal business hours. Well guess what, I work normal business hours too. SHOCKER!

I had the recall done before I received the letter on the same week the recall was announced.
