Gauge cluster swap

I was wondering if anyone has done a 4th gen gauge cluster swap into our 3rd gens? I was thinking about it, because i like the looks of the 4th gen cluster better. Would it even be possible? If it is, how much work would it be?

that would be a mod i would like as well but i dont expect it to be easy
i am not 100% sure but the wiring connectors might be different so in that case you have to somehow cut the old and match it with the new one
+ are the clusters even the same size ?

Another thing...are the 4th gens canbus? or did that start on the 5th? I'm wondering if the guages would be incompatable for that reason along with the harness. Or if that would just affect ECU/TCU/HVAC?
