MSD Coil?

Has anyone used an MSD Coil on their 05 n/a with California Emissions? Mine is acting up and I think i can use an MSD for half the cost of the oem part...

The coil itself shouldn't matter for emissions purposes.

I guess it has to do with holes lining up? While most plug wires are straight going into the coil, mine have a 90° bend, which makes me wonder if i need a specific coil model. If I take the coil off and get the numbers off it, I wonder if MSD could match one up for me. Think I'll send them an email. And then I'll check out RockAuto... Thanks for the great advice guys!
