My friend Cody has a modified WRX with a VF22. He bought Bosch 1000cc injectors. I assumed he meant ID1000 when I went to help with his tune. Turns out he got Fiveo Bosch 1000cc injectors. People have posted on this board about whether the Fiveo are just as good. Well, read on...
First, Fiveo does not supply a proper latency sheet.. They only give the latency at 14V and some bonk flow rates. The latencies are quite a bit different than the ID1000's. So, Cody called Fiveo to get the other latencies for the injectors to properly fill out the table in the ROM. The other latency values are needed so that the ECU can interpolate it correctly for all voltages (specifically 14.4).
Fiveo didn't have the other latency values and could not fathom why we would need them to properly tune the car.
Cody had just finished a build with a bigger turbo and big MAF intake.. so attempting to guess and dial in in the injector latencies grew tiresome.
Save yourself some headache and buy injectors that are properly documented and matched. Cody returned the injectors and ordered some ID1000's.
