I had to deal with two flat tires in the last 5 months and in both incidents neither tire was repairable. I just learned about this fix-a-flat product, does it work on a flat tire that's not repairable?

Fix a flat is a super temp fix. It usually doesn't work And if it does, it's usually good for just a few miles. Unless you have a REALLY slow leak. It also makes a real plug or patch (especially a patch) difficult and messy.

Better for mower tires IMO.

I'm guessing that will gum up the wheel and tpms as well.

How old are your tires?! You drive on the shoulder alot?

I asked my installer about removing my spare and just using fix-a-flat when I changed tire sizes. He said if I ever bring him a tire that has been exposed to fix-a-flat he will lock his door and send me elsewhere.

Apparently as stated above it's nasty and gets into everything inside the tire.

Not to mention some brands use propane as the propellent and if you cause a spark dismounting the tire you might go home with no eyebrows!

Only way I would use it is if I was stuck in the middle of no where. We have customers come in all the time with that crap in there tires. Like I said before it messes up ur tpms and after time will still leak.

Out of curiosity, what did you end up doing when you increased your tire size?

If I wanted to sabotage someone's car, I would fill a tire with Fix-a-Flat rather than slashing one.

Use fix a flat in your law mower tires not your legacy. It kills tpms sensors. On the can it says its safe for them but I've changed dozens because fix a flat ruined them.

Because I went with a smaller sidewall when I increased rim size the installer said I could still get away with the OEM spare in an emergency. Luckily I haven't had to find out whether this is true.
