Well, I got my first subaru when I was 17, a 96 L. Had it for almost 3 years. Went thru alot with it. Swapped it with a ej20g. Did the wiring myself and my friend helped me do the mechanical. It was a great car and was so fun to drive after the swap but I started having tranny issues and since I had no money from being in college, my dad forced me to sell it since I had little problems here and there that I didnt have time to get to as well. Car went from completely stock to:

(the lgt in the background...this was 06)

So I straight traded for a 2000 2.5RS. I promised my dad I would keep it stock and keep it as a reliable daily driver to and from school and work. Well, I didnt keep my word. And then middle November of this year, I was in a bad accident with it. My fault. Didnt hurt anyone or myself. Lost control and hit a guardrail and totaled the car. The car started off with a few mods and then it looked like this:

So now, I am driving the family's spare 97 LGT. I was supposed to keep it stock but after seeing pictures on this site and google, I knew it had potential. I had a set of jdm projector headlights(which i originally bought for the impreza to retro the projectors since the length was about the same, i was going to retro the projectors and high beam lens into the impreza headlight but didnt get the chance to). Also got the jdm fogs, red/clear taillights and a jdm grille. I have 17" bg5 wheels I painted gunmetal that were my Impreza's summer wheels that i will put on in the Spring. And I got a roof yakima roof rack for christmas. I am going to lower it. Probably on some Eibach springs this spring and call it a day. Possibly a Prodrive axle back though, but i just need to focus on school, I will be graduating with an ME degree next fall and I will think about the car more then. Here is the LGT now:

The difference:

Now to work on the fogs since I didnt know they didnt fit:

How she was when I was done with her:

And with my newest Legacy (Now my fourth subie):

How she sits now:

Welcome.
The 2.5RS has got to be my favourite suby Sorry to hear you totaled it.
I do like the JDM lights you have in there now. How are the JDM projectors compared to the stock lights? The stock lights suck IMO and I've been thinking about going JDM for a while now.

The downside of being a Subaru owner
Haha, yeah...especially when they started N/A. I got into subarus because of the AWD and they were different and not a typical everyday civic that every other person had.

Thanks for the welcome everyone and the compliments on my past cars. I have def had some headaches with em but at the end of the day, I always catch myself staring at my cars as I walk away from them and I hope the legacy will keep me happy for a while, or else I may have to get a GF wagon since ive already had a coupe and sedan haha.

In regards to the projector lights, they came with PIAAs when I bought them and my old headlights were so oxidized that the improvement was great! I would say almost double but maybe I am exaggerating. I know there have been discussion about it being jdm and the shielding is off but I dont really notice. I will let you know when I put the hids in them sometime this week or next when it stops raining and being so cold.

i dont know. subaru safety and their engineering to help me not get hurt in the accident other than a small cut on my finger and back of my head.

but i think also i had someone watching out for me that night because i missed a transformer box by a few feet. flew over a 8'? transformer box....

this is a pic i took when i came back a few days later to get all my stuff that flew out of my car and the bumpers and part of my spoiler were still in the trees. sigh.

and a front pic of the legacy:
