Heard the "whoosh" noise coming from the engine. AP shows max boost at 15.1. I just took the TMIC off and put back on and voila, boost is maxing out at 17.5psi. I am guessing the hose that normally comes off on everyones TMIC happened to mine. How can I permanently fix this?

There are two rubber couplings inside of the hoses that connect to the intercooler. Take the hoses off and remove these two rubber couplings and replace the hoses.

OK, it seems this has happened to me. Im on OTS stage 1.
So, just take off the hoses and pull out the the rubber lining the ends and replace the hoses without the rubber couplings? Is it when the rubber "folds over" that it creates the sound? If you can just pull them out and drive without them, why were they on there in the first place?
If I took it to the dealer after i uninstalled my AP, what would they do?
Thanks

Yes that's what you do. If you took it to the dealer they would just leave it and reattach so you could drive around for a few weeks before it popped off again.

Remove the intercooler, take note of the TB hose position and mark it for reassembly. Take these (pic) couplers off the Intercooler to Throttle Body hose (throw them as far as you can).
Clean the mating surfaces with a solvent to remove any oily residue. Reinstall hose on TB according to the position marks made earlier. Tighten TB hose clamp. Reinstall intercooler and tighten everything up.

I still have that whoosh sound when I step on the throttle and I removed the couplers. Anyone else have any idea's to where the boost leak is?

There is a hose under the intake manifold in front of the TMIC that popped off on me...it is about 0.5" diameter which created a leak for me.

And it's not just normal intake sucking sound?

This guy is zip-tied on to mine now (well, it was before Fuji ripped my engine out, who knows now ). Highly recommended while you're in there.
