I'm chasing-down the reason for a flashing BRAKE warning light, along with both the VDC and ABS indicators lit up. This is all subsequent to restoration of lost power due to an electrical defect in the power supply. My study of the FSM has me at a point that needs clarifying. Please advise?
If you lose power to the VDC Control Module (VDCCM) then doesn't that have the same effect as disconnecting the VDCCM? I gathered from the FSM that if you disconnect the VDC then it must be re-calibrated as part of a procedure that uses a SSM.
Can I conclude from this that loss of power dictates the need for a re-calibration?
(I expect that in doing-so, if calibration is successful then I won't need a new VDCCM (ka-ching!) and, obviously, if unsuccessful then it must be replaced (ouch!), the new one calibrated and then the idiot lights will go dark.)
