Well this past Thursday I replaced my upper intake gaskets. After the install drive the car and it did great, no issues. Later that night I took it out to top off the tank and was leaking coolant. Brought it home and found the lower hose on the tank that supplies coolant to the turbo was leaking the clamp lost its tension and wasn't holding the hose tight enough. I went down and bought some clamps came home and was working on getting the lower hose on the tank off when the nipple snapped. Coolant went everywhere along with alot of swearing. My panic repair was to put a small metal through dowel in the hole, placed the nipple back on and threw epoxy around the nipple. Now here is the worry, the coolant flow from the said tank, is it metered specifically to flow to the turbo? The small dowel I put in for strengthening purposes will it hinder a specific flow and cause damage as far as improper cooling to the turbo? I ordered a new tank but it won't be in until Weds. I just don't want to throw it on and drive the car and end up blowing up my turbo.
