I am looking to only lower my 2008 Legacy 2.5i by half (0.5") or 3/4 (0.75") of an inch as I live in winter country (Canada). Any recommendation on springs to accomplish this very little drop? Attached in my Legacy with 18" Rota Tarmac II and Toyo T1R tires, a slight drop would accentuate the look and handling as this is a daily driver.

I live in a similar environment and was looking for the very same thing from my lowering springs. After much research I elected to purchase the Eibach pro kit. It offers a 1" drop in the front, and a .8" in the rear. I only had them installed on monday of this week, but so far they are exactly what I was looking for.

Pink springs seem to be the common choice for a slight drop and better handling.

I'm running Swifts.
Drop is substantial but I haven't had any problems with the winter weather.

I'm running STi pinks (on Bilstein HD struts). Here is what the drop looks like:

Swifts here also, but we really don't get any winter weather here, maybe an occasional inch of snow

I'm running sedan pinks but have an extra set of rubber spring perches on the rears rather than saggy but spacers that also can raise the rear a bit.

I like my COBBs. Raked the stance, no problem in the snow and the ride comfort was not sacrificed.

Hmmm - I actually don't think the stock stuts are half bad with my iONS. BUT - I have ordered a set a Koni's so I'll find out how bad - or good - the stock struts really are.
