It's a Garret ball-bearing GT3071r in a Blouch 8cm housing. 2.4" compressor inlet (standard Subaru size). Stock location!
Will make a solid 350whp, or >400whp on E85. Water/meth, split the difference.
Comes with coveted oil line w/ crimped adapter that bolts right on to your stock oil feed pipe! These are very hard to find, no one sells them on the forums.
Wastegate flapper welded shut, so you must have an EWG to run this, or else swap on a GT3071 IWG turbine housing. Since it's setup for EWG already, you can clock the compressor housing any way you like, which is really nice if you have an FMIC.
Some shaft play (turbo has no oil in it). Some side-to-side, some in-and-out play. No housing contact. Shaft spins freely. I have been assured by numerous people, including Blouch indirectly, that it's fine and that this turbo will last forever. I believe it, or I wouldn't have bought it.
My buddy GotSugg had this prior to me, and he enjoyed it until he parted out his Legacy for a STi with the 6mt. His car came with an FP Green, so I bought this. Well I'm pretty much done with this EJ25 engine, and am waiting for the right time to swap it out for a Buick 3800 Series II/III engine (not kidding). Any and every subaru turbo will be too small for that motor
